Le Chézeau – A Place We’re Proud to Call Home!
When we first arrived in Saint‑Amand‑Magnazeix, we fell instantly in love with the peaceful countryside, the gentle pace of life, and the charm of Le Chézeau.  We have restored with care, blending rustic French charm with the comfort and warmth travellers look for today. What we love most is seeing guests settle in and enjoy the things that made us fall in love with this place: the quiet mornings, the big skies, the birdsong, the space to breathe.

Our grounds are designed for simple pleasures — long sunny afternoons, family fun, and peaceful moments in nature.
You’ll find:
  • a large in‑ground heated pool with a generous sunbathing terrace
  • a games area with pool, snooker, darts and table tennis
  • a pétanque area for a classic French game in the sunshine
  • a cobbled original courtyard, perfect for coffee or an evening drink
  • secure bike storage for those exploring the countryside on two wheels
It is the type of place where children can run free, adults can switch off and everyone finds their own favourite corner.

Just a short drive away, Lac de Saint Pardoux offers a wide range of water sports, fishing trips, lakeside beaches, tree top adventures, and beautiful walking and cycling routes.
The area is rich with things to enjoy including:
  • wine tasting
  • horse riding
  • traditional markets
  • historic villages
  • woodland walks
And right in the village of Saint Amand Magnazeix, you’ll find a lovely restaurant and a boulangerie, with plenty more restaurants and bars in the surrounding towns.
Your Hosts - John and Michelle
We’re John and Michelle, originally from Blackburn in the UK, and welcoming guests to 14 Le Chézeau is the realisation of a long‑held dream. After many years working in the education sector, we decided it was time to follow our passion for hospitality and countryside living, settling here in the beautiful Haute‑Vienne.

Family is at the heart of everything we do. We have three grown‑up children — Jordan, Mya and Will — each happily pursuing their own paths, yet always a big part of our story. And of course, you’ll often meet Daisy, our friendly working cocker spaniel, who loves greeting new arrivals and ensures our gîtes stay as pet‑friendly as possible.

Since purchasing 14 Le Chézeau in October 2025, we’ve been carefully refreshing the properties — keeping their original charm while adding the comfort and quality. Our aim is simple: to offer warm, welcoming, well‑equipped holiday homes where guests can relax, explore, and feel completely at ease.

We feel incredibly lucky to call this peaceful corner of France our home, and we look forward to sharing it with you — whether you’re joining us for a weekend escape or a longer stay.
